Vandanmedu is situated at a distance of 25km from Thekkady on the Thekkady-Munnar highway. It is one of the world's largest auction centers for cardamom. Situated on the Western Ghats and amidst tea gardens Vandanmedu is the largest producer of cardamom in the whole world.

The Junction, a modern villa is located at Vandanmedu about 4,000 feet above the sea level. The Junction is a 4 bedroom villa set in a large garden on which cardamom is cultivated. There are also 2 cottages with 2 bedrooms. There is also a small vegetable patch within the area on which seasonal vegetables are grown and a large fish tank in which fish is cultivated for consumption.

It has a living room with comfortable chairs, sofa and a diwan. The room also has a TV with cable connection and a DVD player. On the top (first) floor, there is a small seating area with a TV and cable connection along with chairs and table. The computer and the Internet connection are setup in the office.
